Chemical Peels
Nurse-led superficial and medium chemical peels in Soho, carefully selected following a comprehensive skin consultation to match your skin type, skin tone and treatment goals.
The short answer
What are chemical peels?
A chemical peel uses a carefully chosen exfoliating solution to lift away dull, damaged surface cells and prompt the skin to renew itself. The result is brighter, smoother, more even skin.
At Perfectus Derma Aesthetics we offer superficial and medium depth peels using Neostrata, ZO Skin Health and the Obagi Blue Peel Radiance, plus the Jalupro Glow peel, and we are trained in treating all skin types and tones: the right peel for your skin matters far more than the strongest one.
Every peel starts with a face-to-face consultation and a skin assessment, and each 30 to 60 minute session includes honest guidance on what your skin will do in the days afterwards. Peels are often timed for autumn and winter to avoid sun exposure, and they pair well with SkinPen microneedling in a combined session.

Patient journey
What to expect from a chemical peel
Consultation & preparation
Stop retinoids and strong exfoliating acids around 3 to 5 days before your peel, as advised at consultation, and avoid sunburn and self-tan in the fortnight before. Tell us if you are prone to cold sores: peels near the mouth can trigger them, and we can plan around it.
During treatment
Aftercare
Expect the downtime described for your peel depth, keep skin moisturised, wear SPF 30 or higher every day and do not pick flaking skin. Avoid heat, swimming and heavy exercise for 48 hours. We tell you exactly when to restart your usual actives.

FAQ
Chemical peel
FAQs
Can I wear makeup after a chemical peel?
Not straight away. We ask you to leave the skin bare for the rest of the day so it can settle, and most patients are back in their usual makeup the following morning. If your skin is flaking, mineral makeup is kinder than a heavy base. Your nurse gives you a timeline for the peel you have had.
How much does a chemical peel cost?
The full peel menu, including the annual package and the combined peel and microneedling session, is in the pricing section above. Klarna and Clearpay are available for eligible treatments, and your nurse confirms which peel suits your skin and what it costs at your consultation.
Are chemical peels suitable for darker skin tones?
Yes, when the peel is chosen properly. Darker skin tones carry a higher risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation after aggressive peeling, so we select gentler acids and depths, prepare the skin first where needed, and insist on daily SPF. We are trained in treating all skin types and tones, and we tailor every peel accordingly.
Will my skin visibly peel afterwards?
Not always, and visible peeling is not the measure of success. Superficial peels usually cause light flaking for a day or 2, sometimes none at all. Medium peels produce more obvious shedding for around a week. Either way, the renewal is happening underneath: resist picking or peeling the skin yourself, and let it shed naturally.
How many peels will I need?
It depends on the concern. A single peel brightens dull skin before an event, while pigmentation and texture usually respond best to a short course spaced several weeks apart, then maintenance. Many patients keep results ticking over with our annual package of 2 peels, 6 months apart. We map this out honestly at consultation.
Can a peel be combined with other treatments?
Yes. The Jalupro Glow peel with SkinPen microneedling is a single £340 session that pairs surface renewal with deeper collagen stimulation. Peels also sit well alongside LED light therapy, facials and skin boosters within a bespoke plan. Sequencing matters, so we schedule combinations with sensible gaps and build them around your skin's response.
