Dermal Fillers
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers in Soho, central London: Stylage and Belotero placed by NMC-registered nurse prescribers to restore lost volume in the cheeks, temples, chin and jawline, always after a face-to-face consultation.
The short answer
What this treatment is
Dermal fillers are smooth gels of hyaluronic acid, a molecule your skin already makes to hold water and keep tissue supported. As we age the face naturally loses volume, which changes its structure and symmetry: cheeks flatten, temples hollow and lines deepen either side of the mouth. Placed with a needle or a soft-tipped cannula, filler quietly restores that support. In our clinic we use Stylage and Belotero, CE-marked hyaluronic acid fillers sourced from authorised UK pharmacies and chosen area by area at your face-to-face consultation. Sessions take 40 to 60 minutes, prices start at £300 per 1ml, and because hyaluronic acid can be dissolved, treatment is adjustable rather than final. For lips, start with our dedicated Lip Fillers page.

Patient journey
What to expect
Consultation & preparation
Avoid alcohol and, where medically appropriate, blood-thinning supplements such as fish oil for 24 to 48 hours before treatment to reduce bruising. Come makeup-free if you can, and mention any dental work planned within 2 weeks of a lip or lower-face appointment. New patients book a consultation first, and some treatments are not carried out on the same day as that consultation.
During treatment
Aftercare
Expect localised swelling, redness and sometimes bruising for 24 to 48 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, makeup over the injection points and firm pressure on the area for 24 hours, and skip facials, peels and microneedling for 2 weeks. We recommend a review at 12 to 18 months to assess how your result is lasting.

FAQ
Common
questions
How long do dermal fillers last?
Results last 6 to 18 months depending on the area being treated: mobile areas such as the mouth break filler down faster than structural areas like the chin or jawline. We recommend a review at 12 to 18 months to assess longevity. As with all injectable treatments, duration varies from individual to individual.
Which dermal filler brands do you use?
We use Stylage and Belotero, both hyaluronic acid based ranges with different textures for different jobs: a soft gel for fine perioral lines, a firmer one for chin or jawline structure. Every product is a CE-marked medical device sourced from authorised UK pharmacies, and your nurse selects it at consultation.
Do dermal filler injections hurt?
There is some discomfort, but it is well managed. Numbing cream is applied as standard, and for certain treatments a regional nerve block can be added at additional cost. Some areas are treated with a blunt-tipped cannula, which most patients find gentler. Sessions last 40 to 60 minutes, and we never rush them.
What if I do not like the result?
Hyaluronic acid filler is adjustable. Small refinements can be made at review, and if you ever want a result reduced or removed, it can be dissolved by a prescriber using hyaluronidase. We offer elective dissolving at £300, often as a reset before re-treating an area on a better foundation.
Will dermal fillers look natural?
That is the intention behind every syringe. We plan filler around your existing features rather than a trend, dose conservatively and build over more than one visit where that serves you better. The goal is a face that looks rested and structured, never worked on. Results are designed to enhance rather than alter.

What is the downtime after dermal fillers?
Plan for localised swelling, some redness and occasionally a bruise for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Most patients go back to work the same day. Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol and pressure on the treated area for 24 hours, and judge your true result once everything has settled at 2 weeks.
