The MEICET MC10 skin analysis system at Perfectus Derma Aesthetics, UNTIL Soho

The short answer

What is professional skin analysis?

The MEICET MC10 is an advanced facial skin analysis system used during consultation at Perfectus Derma Aesthetics. It captures high-resolution facial imaging and assesses both the concerns you can see and the ones developing beneath the surface, across every skin type.

The scan itself is only half of it. Your Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner interprets the results alongside your medical history, your concerns and what your skin is actually doing, and uses that to build a personalised skincare and treatment plan. The analysis informs the recommendation; the clinician makes it.

Patient journey

What to expect from a skin analysis consultation

Consultation & preparation

Attend without makeup where possible, as makeup, heavy sunscreen and freshly applied skincare can affect what the imaging picks up. If that is not practical we can cleanse your skin at the clinic. Bring a list of the skincare products you currently use, or the products themselves if that is easier.

During treatment

Aftercare

You leave with a written, personalised plan covering what the analysis found and what is recommended, in what order. There is no downtime and no aftercare. Where a skincare programme is started, a review is usually recommended after 8 to 12 weeks, and a repeat scan can be used to compare against your baseline.

Boundaries of practice

What's not treated

Good practice means saying no when indicated:

  • Suspected skin cancer or any changing, bleeding or non-healing lesion: referred to your GP or a dermatologist without delay
  • Active skin infection, open wounds or broken skin in the imaging area
  • Diagnosis of a medical skin condition: analysis supports assessment but does not diagnose disease
  • Under 18 years of age

FAQs

What is the MEICET MC10?

It is an advanced facial skin analysis system used during consultation. It captures high-resolution facial images and assesses characteristics such as pigmentation, redness, pore size, texture, hydration and oil levels, including concerns developing beneath the surface that are not yet visible.

Do I need a skin analysis before treatment?

Not always. Many treatments are planned perfectly well from a face-to-face consultation and clinical assessment alone. Analysis is most useful where a skincare programme is being built, where a concern is not straightforward, or where you want a baseline to measure progress against over time.

How long does the consultation take?

Allow 45 to 60 minutes. That covers your medical history, a conversation about your concerns, the facial imaging itself, and time to go through the results properly and agree a plan. The scan is a small part of the appointment; the discussion around it is the point.

Will I receive a copy of my results?

Yes. Your practitioner talks you through the findings on screen during the appointment, and you leave with a written, personalised plan covering what was found and what is recommended. You are welcome to take it away and think about it before booking anything.

Can the scan be repeated to monitor progress?

Yes, and it is worth doing. Your first scan acts as a baseline, so repeating it later lets you compare like for like instead of relying on memory. This is most valuable for gradual changes such as pigmentation and overall skin quality. Individual results vary.

Should I attend without makeup?

Please do where you can. Makeup, heavy sunscreen and recently applied skincare all sit on the surface and can affect what the imaging picks up. If you are coming straight from work we can cleanse the skin at the clinic, so it is not a reason to postpone your appointment.
